Boron-Doped Diamond (BDD): A Next-Generation Electrode Material.
BDD is an electrode material for various electrochemistry applications, such as electrochemical sensors, electrochemical organic synthesis, CO2 reduction, ozone water generation, and electrochemiluminescence.
BDD acts as an anode in water treatment, enabling advanced oxidation of organic and inorganic molecules through direct and indirect methods. Directly, it transfers electrons to molecules at the electrode, causing oxidation. Indirectly, it generates reactive hydroxyl radicals that oxidise and degrade large molecules. This process reduces the amount of oxygen needed to oxidise bulky compounds.
At Gleam Innovations, we develop and standardise advanced oxidation processes using BDD based on the composition and concentration of industry effluents.
Our process engineers also assist industries in scaling the wastewater treatment process from lab scale to pilot and large scale, tackling constraints and meeting environmental standards.
